Anyone who knows me would know that I am not a camper. I am your typical girly girl, I like my makeup, straightener, shower, clean clothes…bed. Last weekend though I think I may have become a convert. I had the privilege to stay in a Wild Goose Camping luxury tent and officially had my first ‘glamping’ experience.
It all started with a 30th birthday adventure. We had been invited to camp with some friends down in the gorgeous Margaret River region at Conto Camp Grounds. Initially I was extremely hesitant. Bugs, no showers, a tent, a drop toilet…so many negatives haha. But my hubby wanted to hang with his best buddies so I thought, suck it up girl and go. That’s when Wild Goose Camping came to brighten up my whole month!
We arrived on a hot Saturday afternoon and instead of having to slog it out and set up our own tent, our beautiful 4 meter luxury Wild Goose bell tent was already set-up! Under the shade of the trees was nestled our gorgeous cream canvas tent. The team had liased with me prior to arriving, finding out exactly where we would like to be situated, which was important as we were there with a group.
When we opened up the tent we were greeted with a Queen stretcher bed made up with crisp white linen, a tasteful throw, two bedside tables and scatter cushions. For our girls there were two beds on either side with gorgeous grey linen. I was overjoyed!
The floor was covered with a jute rug and even a sheepskin for extra luxury. It truly were the little touches that made our stay with Wild Goose Camping incredible! There were towels for all four of us and a selection of brochures with fun things to do around the region.
The Wild Goose Camping team thought of every comfort possible. There was even a solar charge box set up so we could have lights and be able to charge our phones! I would 110% recommend Wild Goose Camping Margeret River to anyone, they couldn’t have done more for us. Now I am left not only with the experience of enjoying camping but creating wonderful memories with my friends that will last forever!
