Need a break? Why not stay in your own city! This weekend I had the privilege to stay at The Sage in West Perth, 1309 Hay Street. A ‘staycation’, as they are referred to, is when you have time away but essentially you are still close to home.
This solves the time poor issue I have and also is relatively budget friendly as commuting is easy. You only need to have a short stay to feel refreshed and ready to face the rest of the year.
The interior of The Sage West Perth is half converted historic building with modern hotel building added. The two styles are blended so well, but I must say my absolute favourite space is the gorgeous Julio’s Restaurant. The exposed brick and wood features are reminiscent of a New York loft.
One of the best parts of our stay was the incredible dinner at Julio’s Italian Restaurant. We started with their famous Arancini Balls and chicken Polpette. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Next we had the chicken and the steak which were absolutely delicious. Finally desert (my favourite part of the meal) we had the chef’s choice desert platter. We rolled out of the restaurant absolutely delighted with every offering.
Our stay at The Sage West Perth was a truly memorable one. The rooms are minimal yet luxurious and I left feeling everything you should after a weekend away. Relaxed, refreshed and ready for the lead up to Christmas.
