A week of Racing with Review

It’s becoming quite the yearly tradition that I attend Derby Day and Melbourne Cup. Being a girly girl I love dressing up and that’s where Review is the perfect haven for this girly girl.

When I am on the hunt for the perfect race day outfit I head to one of my favourite Australian retailers Review. I love how their designs are extremely feminine and modern yet they are cut perfectly for the female shape. I am a comfortable size 12-14 and sometimes when attempting to look good and relevant, it’s hard to find a dress that meets all your needs. Typically there has to be a compromise somewhere. I really love that with Review you don’t need to compromise on anything.

For Derby Day I wore this ‘Gone with the Wind’ dress with gorgeous crochet work throughout the skirt. I felt like a modern day Scarlett! To match my perfect race day outfit I matched this with glamour girl makeup, including fluffy false lashes and a red lip. For this I wore my ‘Ruby Woo’ by MAC, which lasted all day!

My race day accessories include the matching fascinators, a glam belt and bags. I really think these touches make an outfit, I was called out twice to participate in Fashions on the Field!

Derby Day and Melbourne Cup days should be filled with fun, a glass of bubbles and a chance to look super glam!

Melbourne Cup I wore this gorgeous ‘Floral Bliss Dress’. I had so many comments on the colour of this dress with it’s floral embroidery and cape sleeve it’s truly something special.

My biggest tip for a day at the races is to buy a dress or outfit that you feel comfortable in. It will show on your face if your feet are killing or you look uncomfortable in that overly tight dress. And most of all have fun, these events are only once a year and they should be memorable.

Thanks Marie, it honestly made me feel so glam! I think that’s why black and white is so fun 🙂
